McPherson Main Street provides an array of activities to promote Downtown McPherson. Discover new treasures when shopping during The Main Event on the first Thursday of every month. A ttend everyone's favorite fall event, Burnin' Down Main, featuring a public tasting of soups, chilis and desserts. Children will find the perfect holiday gift for mom or dad while shopping at Mini Main Street. No matter what the occasion, McPherson Main Street strives to empower small independently owned businesses in the downtown district while providing entertaining shopping opportunities for all.

Burnin' Down Main Chili & Soup Cook-Off

Get excited for everyone's favorite fall event in Downtown McPherson! We have lots of fun, family-friendly activities in the works again this year that are sure to not disappoint!

Activities
Public tasting of the soup and chili begins at 11:30am and ends at 1:30pm. A $5 wristband will get you a sample of each delicious entry and the opportunity to vote for your favorite in each category. Wristband wearers can also sample multiple desserts after the Dessert Contest judging.

Free pumpkins are offered to the first 100 kids, as well as face painting, crafts, and other free activities! Touch-A-Truck will be going on in the 100 block of East Marlin from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. The kids can get an up-close and personal look at some of the emergency vehicles, farm equipment, and other cool vehicles they see every day!

Kids Summer Movie Series

McPherson Main Street and select members sponsor the Summer Kids Movie Series at B&B Theatres located at 318 N. Main in McPherson. There's no better place to watch a movie than under the stars! The McPherson Convention and Visitors Bureau offers a free summer movie series at the Lakeside Park Bandshell. Mini Main Street

Mini Main Street is a children's holiday shopping experience supported by Main Street member businesses. All gifts are priced at $10 and under and are available for children to purchase for their family. Elves assist the children in finding the perfect gift for mom, dad, grandparents, siblings and anyone else on their list. Cookies, crafts, gift wrapping and Santa are all a part of the fun!

Shop the Night Away - Night of Heroes is a summer sale that takes place on the sidewalks and in the stores in Downtown McPherson from 5-10pm.
